salam sheik
my question is are repented not to ever commit fornication again but i
still have pleasure on the memories is that am not sincere in my

Walaikum salam wa rahmatu Allahi wa BarakatuHu,
May Allah reward you tremendously for your question,
and I pray that Allah benefit you much with the knowledge.

Praises are to Allah, and peace be upon prophet Muhammed.

The ulema say that there are three conditions for the repentance to be

1. Stop it.
2. Regret doing it.
3. Have a very strong resolve to never repeat it again in the future.

Once these conditions are met, Allah erases the sin from the account.
Allah also forgives sins for seeking the path to knowledge, and devoting
yourself to the ulema. Afterwards, the actions that one does afterwards
are considered new actions, and the old sin does not return to the account.

As advice, you can study the ilm in order to replace these memories of
doing something haram with the beneficial knowledge. Also you
should try your best to avoid these thoughts so that it does not lead
you to disobeying Allah. By attending the environment of ilm, it will
keep the whispers of shaitaan away. Also you can seek a way for marriage,
and raise a family devoted to the beneficial knowledge.

For masturbation, the ulema have stated that it is forbidden. Sexual postures
involving the anus are forbidden. Permanent forms of birth control are also

Allah forgives for being devout eager to learn the beneficial knowledge,
and removing the shawah (desires) of the nafs (soul).

And Allah knows.

Aslam o Alakam, I (32 years) and my whole family embraced Islam on 13 November 2010 including mom, dad, 3 brothers, 1 sister and repented from Qadianism/Ahmadiyyat but my wife (marriage held 8 Nov 2009 according qadiani law) did not embraced Islam and still following Qadianism/Ahmadiyyat and living with her parents home in other city and my daughter (3months) is still with her. I through phone and letters try to convince her and offered her to embrace Islam but she refused. Please answer the following questions.
1. What is the status of my marriage? Do I need to have any judicial judgment?
2. What are my responsibilities towards my wife and daughter?
3. Is she has a right of maintenance? Dower? Dowry article? Inheritance?
4. Who have the right of custody/hazanat of daughter?

Praises are to Allah, and peace be upon prophet Muhammed.
Qadianism is a great deviation that takes a person out of the fold
of Islam, and is a result of people following their “hawa” (whims),
instead of following the ulema. Anyone that does not give up this
grave deviated belief is a kafir (disbeliever), that will enter the hell
fire along with the other disbelievers. This is because they failed
to listen the ulema, who convey the message of Allah, and were averse to them.

If they repent, and believe in the correct teachings brought to us
by our noble predecessor ulema, then they will be on the right faith.
Otherwise they have rejected the guidance that Allah has brought to
mankind, and following new innovated false beliefs, just like what
was innovated in other religions.

The revelation of Allah flows from Angel Gabriel, to prophet
Muhammed , may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, to the sahabah, then to the people that follow them afterwards, in that chain.

Nevertheless, by being kind, and using wise words, hopefully you
can convince the people that are on this deviated belief to rid
themselves of this false innovated aqeedah (beliefs), follow the
aqeedah (beliefs) of our rightly guided predecessors, listen and be
devoted to our noble ulema.

For your questions,

1. Qadianis are given the same rulings as murtads (apostates). After you accepted the right belief, your wife remains for the duration of the iddat (normally 3 menstrual cycles). After that, if she does not accept the right belief, she is divorced.

2. After the iddat period, you are no longer responsible to support
your wife, except if you owed something to her. You may still get
back together after that if she repents. If she demands something for breastfeeding your daughter, you must provide her a reasonable compensation.

For your daughter, you have to provide her support, and this amount becomes a debt on you.

3. The maintenance is during the iddat period. After that, if you don’t
expect to be together, you no longer have to provide her support. For
your daughter, you have to continue providing for her, and teach her the correct beliefs; and rid her of the false innovated ideas that may have been said to your daughter.

The dower is the wife’s after sexual enjoyment with her, regardless
of if it is a monetary amount or an article. If she does not
repent, she does not inherit from you, nor do you inherit from her.
Disbelievers do not inherit from believers, and believers do not
inherit from disbelievers. If she is no longer your wife you
could leave her a bequest.

4. In this situation, where she does not repent, the child would go
the custody of the believing parent, according to the Islamic law.
If the legal system of the land prevents that custody, it is excused
because of compulsion.

This is the rulings according to the Islamic law, and Allah knows.

I am inflicted with some sort of spirit as I lived in a hauned house for sometime and when moved i found it is following me. i have tried reading quran and whashing with salt but this thing is still bogging me and i need to get red of this creature. I live in CT.

Praises are to Allah, and peace be upon prophet Muhammed.

I pray that Allah help you in your situation.

Sometimes it requires much dhikr and Quran to expel these jinn,
a really vast amount. Recite more Quran, and dhikr, also ask
imam or shaikh to recite for you.

(Allah willing, See the post on jinns

And Allah knows.

Can qurbani meat be used for food as a fundraiser for the maintenance of a masjid?

Praises are to Allah, and peace be upon prophet Muhammed.

For the Udhiya, that is the animal sacirificed on eid-ul-adha,
it is recommended to give 1/3 to poor, 1/3 to friends and family,
and 1/3 for oneself. This however is recommended, but not strictly
obligatory, and the meat could be divided in a different way.

It is not appropriate for anyone to dissuade the effort to
raise funds for maintaining the masajid, that call people to
the ilm and bringing them to the way of Allah. Hopefully it
would be a good way to raise more money for the masajid,
a really good cause. This, keeping in mind, not going away
from the sunnah (traditions) of prophet Muhammed as explained to
us by our noble ulema.

If one does give meat for this purpose, thay are not doing
something forbidden. Hopefully this would be a means of
bringing more people to the masajid, and closer to the teachings
of prophet Muhammed, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him.

And Allah knows.

I have a question and hoepfully you can help me, I have a question that is being bothering me for sometimes. Please help me with answering it; Can Jinn take the form of humans? If yes how do you know if you are dealing with a human or Djinn? Please do provide me some dalil.

Praises are to Allah, and peace be upon prophet Muhammed.

Jinns (shaitans) are only able to affect people when they go
away from the ilm and remembrance of Allah, especially if they
do so for a long time. If one learns the ilm and remembers Allah,
the jinns immediately retreat. One should do much dhikr,
recite Aayah al-Kursee, Soorah al-Ikhlaas, Soorah al-Falaq and
Soorah an-Naas, and seek refuge in Allaah. One should study the
ilm, to have strong firm knowledge so that the shaitan is not able
to fool them. One should also be devout and eager to learn the ilm,
not listen to their whispers to keep people away and make them averse
and angry to the beneficial knowledge. The antidote to these whispers
of the jinns is the ilm.

Jinns can be “exorcised” from people that they possess by imams
knowledgable in the procedure. See the article :

How to perform an exorcism, removing the jinn from
a person that becomes possessed.

One of the proofs the ulema use is that ayat in surah Baqarah:

{ ٱلَّذِينَ يَأۡڪُلُونَ ٱلرِّبَوٰاْ لَا يَقُومُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا يَقُومُ ٱلَّذِى يَتَخَبَّطُهُ ٱلشَّيۡطَـٰنُ مِنَ ٱلۡمَسِّ‌ۚ }

“Those that eat interest do not stand except like one that the
shaitan has touched (possessed).” Surah Baqarah ayat 275.

And Allah knows

Shaikh Sajid

Assalam Imam sahib,
I was just curious to know if it was permissible to purchase discounted items on non-muslim holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas ? We see people flocking supermarkets and staying up all night long for discounts…it doesn’t seem right.
And does the ruling change if we intended to purchase the item before the holidays began and even if it is permissible, is it better from the point of view of Taqwa to avoid this ?

Alhamdulillah (All Praises are due to Allah).

Generally speaking it would not be forbidden to simply purchase discounted items on the holidays of non-Muslims, as long as these discounts do not come in the form of gifts related to the holiday. Shaikh Ibn Taymiyya permitted the receiving of gifts from non-Muslims on their holidays if they were general non-specific gifts. If one were to give you a Christmas Tree, or Christmas cookies, for example, it would not be permissable to accept them.

At the same time, one must not support the innovations or matter of misguidance that these holidays represent by partaking in their rituals.

As for the holiday shopping, the Ulema recommend we spend our time seeking the ‘ilm and attending the durus to gain beneficial knowledge. A noble goal in life is to attain knowledge and not simply to obey one’s lusts and desires and become consumers.

Another concern is that Muslims may miss out on their Salah or they may not be able to perform them properly or in Jama’ah when they are at these stores. Also, one is exposed to holiday music as well as religious displays (trees, candles, Santa claus etc).

One final point, is that there is often mixing and women dressed in inappropriate clothing at shopping malls, and this is a harmful distraction and danger to the faith of a believer.

In summary, although making a simple purchase at these stores is allowed, it is not recommended to spend one’s time hanging around in those places, and become affected by their environment.

And Allah knows best.

Being curious about the Day of Judgement, I have been picking through Islamic literature and media. I have seen many videos on youtube video by MUSLIMS linking Dajjal to the event that is predicted to happen by the Mayans in 2012. Many of these video’s use verses from the Qu’ran to support their theories… Are reasoning’s like this allowed in Islam? I mean who are we to question the infinite wisdom of Allah?

Is believing in evolution shirk?

Praises are to Allah and peace and blessings on prophet Muhammed.

For these theories about Dajjal and predictions, one has to sort
out what is mentioned in the authentic texts and narrations, and what is
conjecture. What you find is usually a theory starts out with a text,
then additional things are added on afterwards.

It is encumbant to listen to the explanation of our reputable scholars
who have researched these texts in detail, and come up with a conclusion
based on knowledge, not on interjections of other material that have no
basis in faith. Also it is encumbant not to mix the authentic narrations
with things that are whims.

Explanations are allowed, if they are relaying the
statements of our predecessor ulema, and not adding any
personal views or opinions or ideas. One should learn these
explanations from our previous ulema to have a proper understanding
(fiqh). These explanations will remove one’s false and wrong
conceptions. In fact the real people of knowledge may state something
that would appear to be their explanation, but in fact is relaying what
they learned from their teachers going back to prophet Muhammed, may Allah’s
peace and blessings be upon him. The explanantions would be explaining
the same knowledge expressed with different words. These explanations
are also a therapy for the mind and will remove the sicknesses of the mind,
like stress, anxiety, depression, etc.

One should be eager to learn these explanations from our ulema, and
not be averse to them. The ulema are the inheritors of
prophet Muhammed, may Allah’s peace and blessings be
upon him, and teach people Allah’s religion. It does
require effort to train oneself to be devoted to and inculcate
this beneficial knowledge, and remove ones own personal ideas.
May Allah open us to learn from our noble ulema, and allow us to
spread this beneficial knowledge. Amin.

“Evolution” is term used to mean repulsiveness to belief
and faith. One should not have this feeling, but rather listen
to the ilm. One should devote themselves to the ulema
and have the correct understanding. One should have
a firm belief in Allah and not disassociate themselves from
the ulema.

May Allah reward you much with goodness for asking your question,
please do ask more questions in the future. I pray that Allah
benefit you with the knowledge.

And Allah knows.

Hello, as a muslim living in us, i have some questions i have been meaning as somebody;

1. we believe that Allah is our god and Allah is the most powerful this case, why did he need to create us before everything. he does not need anything, not even weakest creatures like us comparing to him. why did he need to create hell and heaven after that? why are all these for? shortly why do we have to go through all that as a human? allah does not need anything.

2. Allah created us, then why does not he want to show the truth and what the right is in our lives now?why do we have to take this exam and get punished for our sins?

3. what was the reason muhammed (s.a.v) married more than one women?

Praises are to Allah and peace and blessings on prophet Muhammed.

Allah created a dual creation, this life of the dunya to earn, and the akhira as repayment. People will enter their rightful abodes based on what actions they did, and Allah forgives much. If Allah were not to make an akhira, people would not be repayed for their actions. People will be repaid for their good actions, their belief in Allah, and their earnestness to learn the religion.

Indeed people can spend vast amounts of time discussing existence in philosophical and logical argumentations that sometimes contradict the belief in the (tauheed) oneness of Allah. This is in fact taking their hawa (whims) as their god.

Allah is the Lord of the Throne, and everything else in the universe does sajda (prostrates) to Him.

Instead of wasting time in these philosophical argumentations that have no benefit, and lead nowhere, best thing is to learn the beneficial knowledge from our noble ulema, where one will earn a tremendous amount of rewards. Like studying the rulings of what animals are allowed and forbidden, the rulings of the proper way of slaughtering, the Tafseer of the noble Quran, devoting oneself to the ulema, the rulings pertaining to business. Learning the knowledge and guidance from our noble prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, the grammar of the arabic language, in order to understand the Quran and the texts of our ulema.

The wives of prophet Muhammed, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, are our mothers. He married them to support them and teach them Allah’s religion, and not out of lust. His wives, like Aisha, have taught many of the earlier generation the rulings of the religion.

And Allah knows.

aoa, i want to get detail answer in light of quran and
sunnah that, either a women is allow to live in women hostel for
islamic studies out of city (the hostel is situated in islamic
university),when parent are also satisfied with that hostel’s

Honarable sister,

Salam alaikum. Praises are to Allah.

Our scholars explain to us what is in the Quran and Sunnah, and it is incumbant on us to listen to them who have researched the matter for ages, and not be averse to them and try to bypass their explanations. Anyone that does not follow the ulema  does not follow the way of prophet Muhammed, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, but rather follows their nafs. We should all listen to the teachings of our noble ulema wholeheartedly, learn from them and become knowledgeable, and obey the rulings of Allah that are explained to us.

It is a wonderful things that you are doing with the Islamic studies, and I would encourage you to continue with them much. May Allah increase you in knowledge.

The text of the hadith prohibits a woman from travelling without a mahram, in your case you are not travelling, but rather a resident. You are staying in one place for more than 3 days.   The prohibition would arise when you are travelling to and from the hostel.

The place where you are staying in the school, there are imams who will make sure that you are secure. Imams for sure obey Allah, and spread Allah’s commandments throughout the community.  This is in contrast in staying in a different place where there are drunkards and criminals that may cause you harm.

As good advice, you should seek a husband that is good in his religion, and that is devoted to the ilm, and that obeys Allah. This way you and your whole family will stay on the tawheed (oneness of Allah), and raise children following Allah and His messenger, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him.

I pray to Allah to bless you and your family, and give you much goodness always.

And Allah knows. May Allah reward you.  Salam alaikum wrb.

     Shaikh Sajid

Assalamualaikum wr wb. Is it permissible to listen to a Nasheed which have music in it? JazakAllah hu Khair.

Walaikum salam wr wb. Praises are to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon Allah’s honorable final prophet.

Nasheeds with music are a mixture of something which is considered permissible, which is the nasheed, and something which is considered to be evil, the music. The ulema have generally described music as something that hardens the hearts and leads away from the path of Allah.  The nasheed, the verbal sayings, would be considered allowed, provided that nothing is said that is forbidden or leading to that which is forbidden.

In propogating the religion, one should  follow the advise and imitate our noble pious ulema. Not evil musicians who have no devotion for the ilm.

Sounds are divided into two categories, one that is good and beneficial like the Quran, duroos, etc., and that which is evil like music, false tales, etc.

An exception is made in some cases where a song has been passed down through the ages through our pious predecessors of the past, which these past scholars have approved.  These songs are limited to this particular environment, not outside of it.

The nafs is affected by what one listens to. Music causes the nafs to become sick and corrupted. Refraining from listening to it, and instead listening to the beneficial audio, like the duroos of our ulema, keeps the nafs pure and successful.

And Allah knows.

Shaikh Sajid
